Cosma is a young innovative company, founded in February 2022 under the project name Deess, aiming to pioneer scalable sensing solutions applied to underwater environmental and geophysical studies.
Laureate of IFREMER 2022 innovation prize, Cosma is hosted in the robotics labs of the French oceanographic institute in La-Seyne-sur-mer, France. It drives research projects on fine subsea absolute positioning with CNRS and biodiversity monitoring strategies with leading academic institutions.
Cosma’s seasoned team brings together multi-disciplinary expertise in underwater robotics, navigation and data collection at sea, as well as data science, artificial intelligence and marine biology.
Cosma develops a precise, repeatable and scalable solution in the field of underwater mapping and environmental studies. Paving the way for systematic inventory and regular monitoring of benthic ecosystems, Cosma ultimately aims to become the ideal partner for every 21st century underwater project.
